Director of Housekeeping/Laundry

 

DIRECTOR OF HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY

 

Squirrel Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking an Experienced Candidate to fill a Director of Housekeeping/Laundry for our 178-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.

 

Duties Include:

  • Ensure facility and departments are maintained in a clean and safe manner and necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and operable to perform required duties and services.
  • Ensure sufficient levels of supplies, disinfectants, equipment is maintained.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining infection control, waste disposal and Universal Precautions policies and procedures to ensure sanitary environment is maintained at all times
  • Ensure housekeeping/laundry personnel understand and follow Universal Precautions established rules, fire and disaster procedures and departmental policies and procedures when performing daily tasks.
  • Make daily rounds to assure that personnel are performing required duties and to assure that appropriate policies are being rendered to meet needs of facility

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory setting - LTC experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination, criminal background check and drug screen
  • Effectively communicate with others
  • Positive attitude and customer service skills
  • Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum of 4 feet.
