DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICES

The Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a talented and hard-working DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICES to join our ever-growing team.

DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, monitors, and evaluates master menus and provides menu planning to ensure the nutritional appropriateness of the therapeutic diets.
  • Develop, implements, and monitors compliance with internal policies and procedures and ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements related to the provision of nutritional services.
  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates the activities and performance of the staff of the Nutrition Department.
  • Provides individual and group nutritional counseling and education to the residents.
  • Ensures the adequacy of staffing of the department through the recruitment and hiring of qualifies staff.
  • Plans. Implements, monitors and evaluates the Department of Nutrition’s Quality Improvement Program.
  • Develops, directs, and maintains an ongoing in-service education program.
  • Participates in activities related to food preparation and storage.
  • Consults with administrative, medical, and nursing staff regarding the provision of food service and the nutritional needs of the residents.
  • Actively participates in meetings as assigned and appropriate.
  • At the direction of the Administrator, performs special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position requires five to seven years of experience in a supervisory position in Food Service Management.
  • The individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
